OrderYOYO Alternative: The Best OrderYOYO Alternatives for Restaurants

What is OrderYOYO?

OrderYOYO is a Danish online ordering company that sells branded websites and apps to independent takeaways and restaurants. Customers order direct from the restaurant, so there's no marketplace commission on those orders.

For a single takeaway that just needs a website and an app, it does the job. The problems show up later - when you want orders going straight into your POS, when you want to run loyalty and marketing properly, or when you open a second site.

Why restaurants move off OrderYOYO

  • Orders don't always get to the kitchen on their own. Depending on your POS, someone has to re-key them, or you need third-party middleware to connect the two.
  • The loyalty and marketing tools are thin. A branded app gets someone to order direct once. Getting them back next week takes more than that.
  • It's built for single-site independents. Groups and franchises outgrow it.
  • No AI phone ordering, limited kiosk support, not much in the way of analytics.
  • Support can be hard to reach in the evenings and at weekends, which is when most restaurants are actually busy.

The best OrderYOYO alternatives

1. Flipdish - best overall

Flipdish does direct ordering through your own branded website and apps, same as OrderYOYO. The difference is that Flipdish also does the POS, kiosks and phone ordering, so every channel ends up in one system and one kitchen queue.

What you get:

Flipdish works with independents, multi-location groups and franchise networks. Support and onboarding are based in the UK and Ireland.

Pick it if you want more direct orders and would rather run the whole restaurant on one system.

2. Hungrrr

Hungrrr is a UK company that builds branded apps and websites for restaurants and other hospitality businesses. It leans towards loyalty and CRM, and it's made for independents and small groups. Pub groups and casual dining independents in the UK are the obvious fit.

It connects to fewer POS systems than Flipdish, and it doesn't do kiosks or AI ordering.

3. Slerp

Slerp does white-label online ordering for restaurants, with same-day delivery management built in. It integrates well with third-party delivery partners and the interface is clean.

It's an online ordering layer, though, not a full restaurant system. If online ordering and same-day delivery are what you care about, look at it. If you want the POS and kiosks from the same supplier, it won't cover that.

4. Vita Mojo

Vita Mojo sells digital ordering, online and on kiosks, to QSR and fast-casual brands. It's good with nutritional information and heavily customisable menus.

It costs more to implement and takes more work to set up. It's aimed at larger operators. Most independents don't need it.

What to check before you switch

  1. POS integration. Online orders should land on the kitchen screen by themselves, not on a separate tablet someone has to keep an eye on.
  2. How you're charged. Per order, per month or a percentage - find out which. A low monthly fee can hide per-transaction costs.
  3. Migration. Ask whether the vendor will move your menu, customer data and loyalty records across for you.
  4. Whether the product is still moving. Are they building anything in AI, kiosks or personalisation, or has it stood still?

Why Flipdish

OrderYOYO, and most of the other options here, give you an ordering layer that sits on top of something else. With Flipdish, the ordering and the POS are the same system.

A customer orders through your Flipdish website or app and the order goes straight into the Flipdish POS and onto the kitchen display. No separate tablet. Nobody copying orders across. No integration to keep alive.

If you want to grow direct orders and build up regular customers now, and maybe add kiosks or AI phone ordering later, you can do all of it on Flipdish without changing supplier again.
